DolceVita Apartments N 489 San Marco

A nice, wonderful and well located stay!

Pro: It’s clean, comfortable and super well located. The staff is super friendly and kind.

Contro: Nothing ;)

I recommend this place for its extremely practical and quiet location near the main sites and handy water bus stops.

Pro: The location is amazing. It’s five minutes’ walk to St. Mark’s Square, which also brings you close to the landing stages of S. Zaccaria. Because the apartment is down a zigzag of alleys no tourists venture there and we had complete peace for sleeping, quite remarkable when just steps away the summer hordes are pouring through the streets. The apartment is small but perfectly adequate for three adults or a couple with a child. There’s ample wardrobe space in both bedrooms and an ironing board plus iron is there if you need it. There’s a washing machine in the kitchen and a crockery drying cupboard over the sink which is really useful. (No dishwasher, but this is definitely enough for a few days and a washing machine is clearly a priority for anyone on a longer trip.) We made good use of the microwave! The wooden shutters make the rooms really dark for sleeping.

Contro: We were happy with almost everything but a couple of inexpensive improvements could make it even better. A mirror over the large desk in the single room would make it more suited to an adult. (My sister had to occupy the bathroom to get ready for the day.) A waste paper basket in the bathroom and bedrooms would be very useful and save multiple trips to the kitchen. A few light bulbs didn’t work - the one over the bathroom mirror, the nice lamp on the chest of drawers in the main bedroom and the top one in the standing lamp there. There was still plenty of light however. The obviously practical stone floors are very cold so be prepared for that.

Would stay again if returning to Venice. Close proximity to everything.

Pro: The apartment is very close to St. Marks Square and other amenities. We stayed as a group of three. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Fabio was extremely welcoming and helpful. We would stay again if we ever return to Venice.

Contro: The entrance is poor. No light whatsoever and very unkempt. The railings on the stairs is also unsteady. People partying above our apartment could be heard easily.

Pro: The location was great. Fabio was very kind. A comfortable house.

Contro: I would be happier if I could find coffee gratis after a long trip.

Excellent location.

Pro: The location was fabulous. Minutes from St Marks square. Fabio who met us was so helpful. He met us from the valporetta and showed the way to the apartment. Good and helpful communication from Rossana as well via WhatsApp.

Contro: Would have been helpful to have a hairdryer. We did not think to pack one.

Pro: Segítők a szállásadó, nagy közel van minden, látványosság és hajó kikötők.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft wieder buchen.

Pro: Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral und trotzdem sehr ruhig in einer Seitenstraße.

Contro: Bei den zahlreichen Mücken wäre es schön gewesen, wenn zum Lüften wenigstens 1 Fenster pro Raum einen Mückenschutz gehabt hätte.

A great apartment in a lovely city

Pro: The location was great. The kitchen was well stocked. The washer and drying rack were nice to have.

Contro: The entrance and stairs going up to the apartment have seen better days.
